“LOVE, LOVE, LOVED my experience! I loved it so much that I’m planning on holding my yoga retreats at Washagami Landing. What more could you ask for? Wonderful hosts, private land, peaceful environment; giving any person going the chance to feel the serenity and having the option for privacy or the chance to socialize with interesting and welcoming people. The ultimate place for a Northern Getaway <3"

“Washagami Landing was truly a treat. The breathtaking view made me curse the moment I woke up back home, opened my blinds and realized how beautiful that cottage is in comparison to the city. There is a splendid feeling of isolation. The lake isn’t over-saturated by other cottages so you feel like the whole area is yours.”

“Washagami Landing felt like my first true cottaging experience. There is plenty to mention and the pictures alone do not do this place justice!
The property is massive, well kept and very secluded so it feels like you are by yourself. The views are unbelievable, especially the sunrise and there are plenty of activities to occupy the entire weekend.
Rick and Calvin are extremely accommodating and great hosts. We are looking forward to going back for another great adventure!”

WASHAGAMI LANDING
There is a place in the great Canadian north
Where the Northern Lights burst forth
A place of beauty, a place for romance
Even the Auroras come to play and dance
At the end of a long winding dirt road
You’ll find this place where the days are long and time slowed
Here on Washagami Lake amongst the pine
You’ll find a log cabin built in 1949
When you arrive you will be greeted by the greatest of hosts
This is neither a jest nor an empty boast
Rick Lee and Calvin K will go to great length to spoil you rotten
They work day and night to make you stay one not to be forgotten
So if you like swimming, boating, canoeing
Rock climbing, bon fires and or pontooning
Maybe just reading, relaxing or taking a saunas
This is the place, one of true beauty, a real nirvana
Although with all our heart we wished to stay
In the cabin on the point of the bay
As the cry of the loon fills the dawn
Our stay here has come and gone
Because time passes as time tends to do
We had to say a tearful ado
To this wondrous cabin at Washagami landing
Where Rick & Calvin made our vacation outstanding!

Thank you Daisy! This is amazing. And thank you for sharing with us a piece of the history of this wonderful spot. You have made this place extra special. Cheers.
Rick & Calvin has a beautiful place on Washagami Lake. They have updated while keeping the rustic beauty of the property on the narrows. It was a pleasure to meet Rick & Calvin. I highly recommend Washagami Landing to anyone who wants to relax & take in the beautiful surroundings of this magical place.

Rick and Calvin,
What a great week we had at Washagami! We had so much fun and loved the beauty that surrounded us. The boating, fishing and sauna completed our time. Nothing like lying in a hamack reading a good novel under the shade with a cool breeze. The cabin was warm and inviting and the deep clawed tub was the perfect “take me away” relaxation. Thanks for being great hosts!
Washagami Landing was an amazing experience. Absolutely stunning view and gorgeous lake and land. There was a lot experience, even though we visited for a short time in the winter. Rick and Calvin are very nice people and made our stay worth the while. We will definitely be back in the summer to experience the yurt and because of Rick and Calvin. Would highly recommend this cottage!
Thank you! So glad we can make your first cottage experience a good one. And yes summer will be a whole different experience; our doors are always open for you two! Cheers.
Thank you Calvin and Rick for allowing us to experience the wonderful peace and serenity of Washagami landing. Our time was short but our stay was excellent. Something to come back to for sure. The Yurta was everything we had hoped for and more. It was so nice to unplug ourselves and enjoy the peacefulness and beautiful surroundings. Well done on creating on such a welcoming and friendly environment to share with others.
The only time I was at Lake Washagami was in 1967 when my Grandpa took us kids up for a week of fishing and relaxing. We had a lot of fun there. It was the first time in my life that I ever saw a real live moose on the shore of the lake. When he came into the water, I got scared, but Grandpa said he was harmless and would never hurt us. We were in the boat on the lake. I caught my very first pickerel there. I even learned how to bait my own hook. I learned a lot there. I just retired and I hope to someday return there for another week of fishing. It was beautiful there, and I’ll never forget the wonderful experience we all had, while at Lake Washagami. My brother caught his very first walleye in that lake. Lake Washagami holds a very special place in my heart. The only depressing part about our trip was leaving.
Wow. Thanks for sharing your story Elaine. It is beautiful… You are welcomed anytime and we will love to hear more about your experience. The buildings and people might have changed, but I believe the lake is still as beautiful, the fish is still as aplenty as you remembered. (We saw a fish just off our dock the other day, at least 2 foot long, likely a walleye)
I have been here on an off for the past 4 years and still haven’t seen a moose yet myself (only foot prints in the winter). I am still waiting for that magical moment.
Thanks again.
We had a fantastic team weekend at Washagami Landing! The 12 of us were easily accomodated and the cottage-nay, small village; gave us plenty to do during the weekend. We had a great time in the water and canoeing around Washagami Lake was a fun adventure.
I think all 12 of us were able to disconnect from the Office and enjoy great food on the BBQ, hanging around the fire pit, jumping in the lake and running to the Sauna.
Our dog loved running around and exploring.
Thanks Rick and Calvin for accomodating us so well!
See you next time.
Thanks Alex. Your group (and Manny!) are welcomed here anytime!
Thank you very much for letting us stay there. That three days are unforgettable! The views are very beautiful and the cottage is very nicely arranged. It was very comfortable to stay in the cottage and we had a great time there! We will come back to this place for more fun!
Glad you guys had a great time. You were a wonderful group. Hope to see you (and the poodle!) again!
