8. Is there water access for swimming and launching boats?
One of the best feature of this location is you have your own private shore 20 feet from the Yurta. It will also be the only shore composed of solid rock sloping gently into the water; you can walk into the lake
[Safety] Since it’s shallow at the shore we advise against diving; unless it’s a bellyflop. Also the part of rock shore underwater will be slippery when walking in.
There are space to place your canoe or kayak by the water.
We also have a boat launch and dock space for mooring.

9. How private is it?
Washagami Landing is very private. We are situated at the tip of a peninsula and surrounded by natural forest. There is no neighbour by land. At the Yurta you can see one cottage on the other side of the water.
The only visitors you may get are the occasional fellow cottagers enjoying water / snow sports or fishing on the part of the lake around the property.
In fact, Washagami Landing is so private that you can only get cell phone reception at the very tip of the peninsula! Good way to excuse yourself from the constantly connected modern lives.
At the Yurta location you are further isolated from the other developments at the Landing. You will be in the woods by yourself. The only indication of other occupants is the sound of the generator when it is on.

10. Does the Yurta area have wifi?
There is no wifi in this area (nor cellphone reception). It’s great for disconnecting from the world and be by yourself.

If you need wifi and to make phone calls there is phone access in the main compound. Please let us know.

11. Can we access the facilities in the main compound?
Yurta is considered a separate and self-contained rental and will not have access to the main compound amenities. Although when it’s not busy at the main compound (ex. outside of summer season) we do invite the yurt guests to come use the sauna and the rest. Please inquire.

You will have access in other cases such as for emergency / special circumstances, if you need to get more water, or if it’s part of the same rental as the main compound.

12. Do we have to clean up?
Yes, just the reasonable amount.
We expect you to leave the property in good condition, treat it with respect during your stay, and do a reasonable amount of tidying up (dishes cleaned, garbage disposed properly, etc.).
If there is excessive cleaning required by us: i.e. broken glasses, outdoor litters, major furniture moving, etc. we will charge an amount against the refundable security deposit.

13. Are pets allowed?
Yes! Please advise us if you are bringing animals. Understandably we will like you to make sure they behave and don’t disrupt the local wildlife / other renters. Pick up after them as usual if they are in human traffic area (in the woods it will be fine).
Do note that there are wildlife / plants in the vicinity that may adversely interact with your pets if they venture into the woods.
